reunion

This is Halle, aka Hallecat, who belonged to my late, great friend, Janine. I haven't seen this kitty in years, but she seemed to remember me.

Every year I meet up with Janine's family and friends to walk in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure event in Sacramento (the 3-mile portion). To spend time with people who all loved her, and in some cases resemble her, is bittersweet.

Mother's Day morning I spent with my mom -- drinking coffee, talking and laughing. Just the way it should be.
